Supporting local artists is more important than ever and id like to start extremely local with gigs within and close to my hometown of Derby. Emerging artists bring creativity and vibrancy to our communities. I want to draw your attention to the midlands electric music scene and upcoming gigs you'll want to attend and some releases you wont want to miss.

Electric Pets - Nicky Is Dead! - Released on 23.01.26


The latest single by the midlands own Electric Pets, who describe their sound as mature dark-pop with garage rock swagger is definitely worth a listen.






Skeeve - Cardinal - Releasing on 18.02.26


Derby based Alt Rock Band Skeeve will be releasing their latest single this month. With lyrics being teased in their Instagram captions such as 'whatever I am, you tell me I'm wrong' check out their socials for the countdown to this track: Instagram

The Public Eye- Eternal Romantique - EP released 31.10.25


Taking it back to late 2025 for this release by Local Derby band who have established themselves across various venues across England. This isn't so much a fresh release but the latest work by this band that I'd definitely suggest checking out

The public eye first caught my attention in 2022 through their track 'Blue Note' that encapsulates a typical Derby night, and since then they've only gotten better.
