Throwing it right back to 2018 with this track, but I couldn't help myself it's one my favourites that I've had on repeat recently. This track comes from the album How to: Friend, Love , Freefall, RKS'S major label debut and widely considered their breakout release, and one of the most emotionally raw indie records of the late 2010's.

“When It Lands” by Rainbow Kitten Surprise is one of the quieter, more emotionally loaded moments on How to: Friend, Love, Freefall—and it often gets overlooked compared to the bigger singles, but it’s kind of the emotional glue of the record. This songs lyrics delve into themes of longing and the complexities of modern relationships with a vagueness that reflects emotions that haven't fully formed yet. The role of this track within the album lineup is to provide that breathing space between heavier moments with songs such as Its's Called: Freefall which provides the more intense and outwardly expressive moments.

Listen to When It Lands now if you haven't managed to come across it over the past 8 years!
