Single release: Beattie 'On My Mind'

London born artist Beattie, released her latest single of 'On My Mind' this January. On My Mind is an alternative/indie track with emotive and reflective lyrics and a stripped back instrumental. The lyrics of the track explore lingering thoughts of past relationships and the turmoil between moving on and remembering. The singer/songwriter and producer is definitely an upcoming artist you'll want to watch out for as she draws upon the inspirations of Elliot Smith, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley and Lana del Rey. Beattie has grunge pop melodies and smooth vocals and it's no surprise she's gaining attention online and building a fanbase through her socials of Instagram and TikTok, which is how she caught my attention. Despite her online presence she aims for consistency more so in her live performances, as she has stated that seeing her perform live is an integral part to her music.Her lyrics explore young adulthood and all the challenges that come with through an elevated poetic phrasing.
